We recorded this on 8-track 1/4″ tape at Donny Fury’s Demo-Demo studio on (I think) Elizabeth St. in NYC. Ours was the first release on the Egon label, run by Ira Kaplan and Georgia Hubley, much later to form Yo La Tengo. As was often the case with pic sleeves back then. it was up to the label to stuff the discs with the plain white sleeves into the pic sleeve, an arduous process which Ira told us we had to do ourselves, sitting around his apartment in Hoboken, drinking beer. We were joined in this tedious task that night by none other than Byron Coley. He was a laugh a minute, and he became an ardent fan.

By the way, that was a real pile of manure that we were stomping on in the photo. We were young and drunk.
